RAMP Alumni to Pitch Minesweeping Solutions at NATO
A collaborative team of RAMP alumni have been selected as a finalist for the ACT NATO Innovation Challenge. The team, Virginia Uncrewed Systems, is spearheaded by Mickey Cowden, president of Cowden Technologies, Inc. He is joined by Josh May and Whitt Milne CEO and COO respectively of Autonomous Flight Technologies Inc. Cowden is a 2021 RAMP alum while May completed the program in 2017. Milne joined Autonomous Flight Technologies following RAMP graduation.
Good Family Foods Group LLC Set to Launch Research-Inspired Weight-Loss Bars
Deborah Good founded Good Family Foods Group LLC and turned her research into a product. Her first product, the CLAW Bar, which stands for Conjugated Linoleic Acid Weight Loss Bar, debuted in three flavors – cranberry orange almond, dark chocolate cherry, and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough – this spring.
CytoRecovery Wins New Technology Competition at International Meeting
CytoRecovery, Inc., a leader in label-free technology for the enrichment, sorting, and recovery of live cells, today announced that the company had placed first in the annual Innovation Technology Showcase competition at CYTO 2024, which is the 37th annual Congress of the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) that was held in Edinburgh, Scotland. VIPC’s Virginia Venture Partners Invests in The Tiny Cargo Company
The Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (VIPC) announced that Virginia Venture Partners (VVP), its equity investment program, has invested in The Tiny Cargo Company. The Roanoke, Va.-based spinout from Virginia Tech is developing a patent-pending drug delivery platform that utilizes milk-derived exosomes to prevent radiation poisoning in cancer patients.
