On RAMP
On RAMP is our pre-accelerator program that introduces prospective Founders in the technology and health & life science spaces to entrepreneurship and business strategy.
- Introduces Founders to problem discovery, market analysis, and business case formation
- Connects entrepreneurs new to the ecosystem with mentors, external programs, and business resources
- Prepares entrepreneurs for the 12-week RAMP-in-Residence cohort experience
On RAMP and the Ecosystem Navigator Program (ENP) are made possible by the GO Virginia Strengthening Entrepreneurs’ Impact Grant and the EDA Economic Adjustment Assistance Grant respectively.
Criteria
- Time Commitment: The Founder will participate in 2 one-and-a-half-hour weekly sessions over 4 weeks (all classes are virtual)
- Location: The Applicant Founder is located and operating in Virginia
- Idea Type: The proposed idea involves innovation in the Technology or Health and Life Sciences
- Idea Stage: An identified problem hypothesis and hypothesis solution that could be commercialized into a business (Incorporated business not required)
- Thesis Criteria: Technology agnostic (Technology or Health and Life Sciences) and Industry agnostic
Ecosystem Navigator Program
ENP is a 30-minute 1-on-1 session booking for any innovators that would like support in the region. These 1-on-1 meetings are available to get guidance and introductions. Additionally, we can do an Ecosystem Overview presentation of the tech and life sciences resources in the area, as well as a mini workshop on how to craft your 30-second elevator pitch for networking.
