Morning Jolt with WoTech
July 16 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am
This session kicks off a two-part series. Part 1: Trauma’s hidden effects on individuals and organizations are far-reaching—impacting well-being, productivity, and the bottom line. Yet, it’s often misunderstood and overlooked. In this session, Anita Roach shares her personal story, research, and trauma-informed frameworks to reframe trauma not as personal weakness, but as a physiological response to unsafe systems. She offers practical insights and simple interventions to support healthier, more human-centered workplaces. As a trauma survivor herself, Anita approaches these complex topics with empathy and care.
Part 1 Agenda:
- Defining trauma and its universal impact
- How systems optimized for speed—not safety—create harm
- Gen Z’s unique vulnerabilities
- Building systems that support the whole human
- The impact on women and marginalized communities
- The “Compassionate Why” – a small but powerful first step toward change
- Q&A and closing reflections
Join us for “Trauma’s Invisible Impact on Women, the Workplace, and the World” to challenge assumptions, build awareness, and take the first step toward a more compassionate workplace.
